Clutch bell question

as you increase the throttle and the rpm's go up the clutch shoes press against thesprings harder and move outwards enough to then engage the clutchbell.

Its unlikely that it won't grab at all, its possible that it might slip or not engage real well. As far as grabbing instantly usually thats a blown bearing or clutch shoe spring.

Did you get yours shimmed right and spinning free?
