My Kyosho SuperTen has a set of pegs with spring-loaded pivoting pins in the ends that eliminated body clips, but it looks like they might not have caught on. I don't have a good pic of mine, but you can see the pivoting tabs on the front of this car.
Basically, gently push down on the body, flip the pivots 90 degrees (so the rounded end is vertical), and the body slips off and back on (flip them back horizontal to lock the body back on).
Does anybody know of any kind of mounting system like this? I've seen the 'latch style' systems for Monster Trucks, Crawlers, et al, but none of those would really work for the on-road cars.
If I had a 3D printer, I'd corner the market, but here we are. Not having to deal with clips during pit stops is huge. I think Serpent uses something similar, or at least they did.
Thoughts?
