How's it going everybody on this fine Tuesday evening? I have been busy all day reassembling my old XO-1 that i was originally going to sell to make room for my future new one but i have chosen to take a different route to hold on to my old one and rebuild it into a much better car that's even better than a new RTR. My car is still broken but all back together in one piece without the electronics.

Also i have news about my old Radiolink RC8X someone on eBay gave me a $150 best offer so if i accept it finally that radio will be gone before the end of this year.

Under body look. Currently she has no electronics since i haven't decided if the Hobbywing combo is going back in or if a new Castle system will go in but one thing is for sure she'll be getting a new Spektrum AVC receiver that i plan to get soon as well as a new receiver box since i had to hack the old one for a test back then i had the RC8X No more Radiolink for this old girl! She deserves better than that.

Here's my two big on road girls the Felony (Serena II) and the old XO-1 together.

On with the resurrection plan for the XO-1 a few months ago i found some aluminum housed diffs on eBay from a company called cobra racing here.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/394927451817 which should work and might prevent further diff issues from occurring like how the previous front diff failed where the internal gears stripped inside the housing.

How's it going this morning everyone? As of last night i sold the worst new radio i ever owned in my whole RC career my Radiolink RC8X for $170 as a best offer on eBay. So this marks the end of my unfortunate time with a bad radio from a shady company like Radiolink and i can hopefully move on to my hopefully bright future with Spektrum starting with DX6C then my eventual move to the iXSR.

So my Radiolink curse is finally over... I will say this one more time don't be dumb like me and fall for a cheap radio that looks promising in photos and videos and is cheap for the radio and the receivers. But for this unfortunate experience has taught me to not trust cheap knockoff Chinese junk radios like the 8X or anything from DumboRC or Radiolink and to only buy products from reputable companies like Spektrum, Futaba, Flysky and Radiomaster. What Radiolink has done with the 8X and their other products is a complete and total disservice to the RC industry and community and how they are will to ignore people complaints and issues and complete and deliberately cover it up to product their reputation makes it even worse for them.

So this is my final farewell to Radiolink and their products and company i will most likely not buy another one of the products moving forward.

How's it going everyone? It's a wet and cold day where i'm at so no runs yet but i have cleaned up my RC workspace and took a couple pics of my 2 Top favorite RC cars. My Arrma Felony and my Traxxas XO-1 although the XO hasn't been fixed yet i'm still waiting on my first thing of parts to arrive and the other parts that i need to sometime next month.

Here they both are.

Today i had a thought of maybe getting a smaller 6s brushless system for the Felony and putting the MMX8s\1717 combo back into the XO-1. Just unsure what i want to get for the Felony like a stock Spektrum firma combo or a new Max 8 G2S combo or maybe just leave the Felony as it is and buy something for the XO-1 next year.

Nice! The stock Spektrum Firma 150a & 4074 2050kv setup is really powerful & underrated. The new firmware B5.12 version will be out soon & is even more powerful. With a speed pinion it would be really fast. But the HW Max8 4278 combo is a beast for that platform.

I was looking at them although right now it's just a thought since i like the MMX8s combo in my Felony but it's kind of slow on 6s with similar to stock gearing and i was kind of wanting to put that Castle system back into my XO-1. Although i was kind of thinking buying another MMX8s combo or something similar to stock for my XO-1 i just don't know what i want to do yet.

Hi everyone, How's it going? It's been busy for me and my RC lifestyle recently i got my XO-1 mostly put back together today and it's mostly complete other than the stuff i need to replace and repair.

Here she is, What do you all think?

She now has a brand new receiver box taken off a new V2 XO-1 since the one had holes drilled into it as well as a new GPM Racing blue aluminum bellcrank. I also put back in the Hobbywing Max 6 G1\4985 1,650kv combo which will be staying in the car for now. All the car needs now is a new receiver and the repairs done to it which will happen sometime early next month.

You have that many? Wow i guess it goes with the hobby but yeah i have only 9 cars right now but i have a few more i plan to get before i stop buying for awhile. But right now i plan to get all of my current cars running again and to where i like them before i buy any new cars.

It took two photos for my mini crawlers and that's not all of them. If I had to guess I'd say I have around 30ish. But a lot of them are mini's.

For me this year was decent but having my family merge households like having my grandparents moving this fall after they had an apartment fire and having to comfort a few friends of mine in the art space and a couple other things. But for RC this year i bought a couple new cars like the Felony and the Vendetta as well as my first Spektrum radio the DX6C after unfortunate fail of the RC8X. But it's all past me now and i can look forward to hopefully a better year coming soon as well as my 25th birthday coming up i'll passing a big age milestone 25 years.

You've had a few ups and downs! The new cars will keep you busy, testing and tuning... The radio debacle is finished and you've got your replacement figured out... things are looking up for sure Happy birthday too!

I feel bad that the Vendetta didn't get driven much this year since i still have to figure out the diffs but hopefully i'll work it out next year and maybe once i have a receiver for it i'll get remotivated to work on it again. The first thing to happen next year and month is finish getting the XO-1 back up and running. I also found out that one of the Spektrum receivers i want the SR2100 which i thought would only work with the higher end radios like the DX5 Pro or iXSR might be able to work with my DX6C until i get the higher end one later next year.

I understand about the Vendetta.
My Granite broke this summer and I have little interest in replacing the broken parts.
The truck was underbuilt from Arrma and IF I decide to fix it, will require an entire 4s suspension.
I bought the Granite to bash it while I spend money on my other projects. I'm not interested in spending $hundreds of dollars to build the truck up to be able to handle the 3s system it came with from Arrma. It doesn't even steer well! I am beyond disapointed.
That was a total fail and it makes me sad every time I have to move it and its broken parts. I might just buy a wheel from Jennys and sell it.
My step into Spektrum land was short and sweet too.
I'm honestly all set with both brands I think.
I still love my Gorgon though.

I can understand as well although most people i know online don't usually have as many issues with theirs. First time i drove it before it had issues i was impressed with how fast and fun it was i still like the car but not really happy that i now have to put 4s spec diffs in it. The issue i had was the mesh was too tight in the gears so it sounded like it was binding and i even tried shimming them. I know there's cars that suck and cars we love\like from the brands we all like i like and don't like some things both Traxxas and Horizon build nowadays.
