so I've read through and found out that oven cleaner removes the chrome from the plastic. But it seems to leave spots of something when i do it that doesn't take the dye real well. Any suggestions?

I've always found using Acetone as the easiest method. You just simply put the wheels in a container of acetone and let them sit for about an hour or two. Then use a old toothbrush or detail brush and simply start brushing away the chrome that has already fallen off.

Be sure to test a small spot on the wheel though, some wheels will actually start to melt with acetone. Most will be fine but never hurts to test it first. Also be sure to wear gloves and eye protection, Acetone will burn bad if you get some in your eyes and will also cause your hands to dry out.

Dam i just had my nails done to! Lol. Anyhow thanks guys, i will try that on my next set..:hehe:
