Does anyone know of a paint that can be used on Lexan that will ACTUALLY look like chrome? Any silver I've tried is nothing more than sparkley grey. I'm talking really silver.
I know it will never look mirrored, like real chrome, but what's the closest to it?

Supposedly the Spaz Stix Chrome really looks like Chrome. Just follow their instructions to a tee.

My LHS doesn't carry Spaz, but I'll see if he can order it for me.
A while back, I saw a photo in the random gallery of and old, green, Dodge Power Wagon, and the grill was seriously silver. Anyone know who's it was?
Does the Spaz come in bottles for an airbrush, or is it just rattle cans?

Alclad Chrome. Comes in rattle can or 1oz bottles for airbrushing.

I knew there was a pic somewhere on this site. Belongs to Candyman so maybe he can come on and tell us what he used.

Thanks Bruncana, but I thought I saw something silver from Candyman a while back, so I checked out his gallery, then dropped him a PM.
That's exactly what I'm looking for.

Spaz Stix paint will do the trick very well.

- Spaz Stix Mirror Chrome Aerosol Paint
- Spaz Stix Gloss Black Backer Aerosol

By the way, you need to wear mask. You can see silver flicks all over the place.

The Elise was done using Alclad Chrome and Parma Fasblack to back it. I used airbrush to lay it down and it works quite well. Just remember to use light coats of the chrome and don't fuss with it until it's dry. Then back it in black. The chrome goes on almost transparent so don't worry about trying to heavy coat it. After about 3-4 coats, the chrome is ready. Once you back it in black it will pop right out.
