Thinking about getting the brushed electric version of the Rustler for my 8.5 year old who ever since I have had my Nitro Rustler out has been spending hours on end playing with the toy grade R/C that he has had since he was about 4 and hardly touched. Not only that, but I don't think that I trust him enough to let him run the Nitro. Way too fast.

Amazon has it for barely over 200 bucks, waterproof and comes with a battery.

What do you think? Any other suggestions? :D

If you plan on running it in the yard and around the house, the Stampede would probably be better since it has higher ground clearance. For racing or pavement, the rustler is a better choice.

I've been beating on an Arrma Granite for a month. I really like it, would be great for a kid. It's brushless ready for when he needs more power & speed. My only problem has been I killed the stock steering servo, but I Emailed them and they sent me an upgrade Futaba, free of charge and at my door in 3 days.
