Ditch the K/N, they don't filter fine enough for RC. They do look cool though.

I had an aftershock many years ago. Was a fun truck! I never put LST2 stuff on it, just RPM arms, lunsford turnbuckles. It held up pretty good.

The K/N is just there for looks while not in use,(came with the engine),this is my 2nd Aftershock( 1st 15yrs ago) missed it. Just got this one in stock form a year ago. Was going to leave it stock until I let a buddy drive it on Thankgiving and this happened...

Yeah, that's kind of how mine looked after break-in. lol! Then I went with RPM LST1 arms with short lunsford turnbuckles in the upper arms and later replaced the long tie-rods with lunsford as well as I kept breaking those too. I shelled out the stock 2-speed cage/gear after replacing the engine. I replaced it with the LST1/2 2-speed assembly. Then I kept breaking chassis rails... got a hardcore racing titanium main deck and made a center skid that tied the front to the center. Then the two speed kept giving me fits even after upgrading that...

One of those I probably should have kept.

Yep, I had to replace the transmission too,and went the same route. eBay is loving me this past year.. My wife brought it to my attention that what I spent on it to rebuild it I could’ve bought a new rc truck, but it’s not n a guys DNA not to make something better.lol. I’ve got a Losi Mega Baja I’m redoing too,and another one on the way off EBay. I think I have a problem..?
