my cat chewed my receiver wire but not alot i took off the extra hanging it looks like it first did. will this cause any problems in my system or will i be good to go?

The length of the receiver wire is important to the range. The antenna wire is "tuned" to the receiver. If you only cut an inch or so your prolly fine. If you had to cut 6 or more inches off you should replace the wire. Check with the manufacturer of your receiver for the proper length and by some extra wire from your LHS and resolder a new wire on. Its not that hard to do even for novice solderers

as long as it wasn't shortend

and if it was it will only really effect your range

it is less than an inch. and for sure those dam cats wont get near it again.
