My mom showed me it...I took the first picture and didn't wanna get any close on the second so she took it...such a brave women...hehe....anyhow, the body is about an inch long while the legs look like they're about 1-1.5 inches each...if you were to take a tape measure from one leg to the other with the way if was sitting, it would measure about 3-3.5 inches...the thing was huge...not really but by northwest standards and the fact the the nearest tree is 30 ft. from our house, it's pretty big

When we moved into our house, we had like 3 trees that were 5-10 ft. from our house. We cut them down and had huge spiders in our house for 2 years after cutting them down...since then, we've had small ones...relatively...ewww

My dad killed the spider the next day...overnight, it managed to crawl all the way upstairs...usually they hang out in whatever room they were spoted in for a few days

What do you mean "the next day"??? It looks like a black widow, and a huge one at that!!! If that was my house, he wouldnt of made it to see the next second!!! Man you guys are brave :wtf:

We don't have black widows here...i think it's not hot enough...some poop...

Anyhow, i'm madd afraid of spiders and don't kill them...that's why it lived for a whole day cuz I just let it be

I hate spiders too, but damn I would have thown something at it to kill it. I would have gotten no sleep that night knowing that thing was crawling around!!!

I can tell you that is not a black widow spider.. for sure. As far as them not liking cool climates, we get them here.. and we just got snow yesterday!! :)

I have this thing, looks like a tennis ball racket except it has wires that go across it. Inside the handle are batteries.. and switches. You can just touch a bug with it and zap the crap out of it.

I, of course, had to juice mine up.. :) I added a 9v battery(replaced the two AA's it normally uses) and added a much larger capacitor. I have exploded spiders with this thing.. muahahhaa.. :)

Oh and BTW, I have a SERIOUS phobia of spiders...

I need to get one of those

Wouldnt the Capacitators explode with a 9v battery attached to it? Dont regular AA's have about 1-2v's???

You are braver than I. I would have introduced that spider to the heel of my work boot. :) TWACK!!!

I need to get one of those zappers!!! Even if not for bugs...It would give someone one hell of a jolt!

I replaced the capacitor that was already in the unit with a much larger one.. :) I can not remember the exact value of it now but it was nearly the largest 9v cap that Radio shack had on hand.. :)

thats nothing kwong, you outta spend some time here in Florida. Our bugs could eat small children

Yeah, I know it isn't big...i've been to Oklahoma and Texas and they gots some big ass bugs...but for the size of bug around here, it's huge!!
