lol, we wont have near that much vegitation, but it will probly be wet here in Louisiana and be like RC-Woodstock

Yeap I've made pretty good progress. All that's left is to lay the edging around the lanes. The guys in the fab shop finally caught up on their work so they're actually working on the drivers stand now instead of just talking about working on it. When you own a business, it's always your families stuff that comes last, after all the customers are taken care of. With a big business, it's the same way just on a bigger scale. Anyway, I decided that the driver stand is going yo be 8 feet wide and 4 feet long. I wanted to be able to beat you with the antenna if you got in the lead lol. It looks great now that all the dirt is layed out, and I added a good bit mor dirt to all the jumps. The grass killer that I put down worked great. It took a lil while, but now it looks like a forest fire ran through our pasture everywhere that I sprayed it, which is a very good thing when it comes to the track. I didn't work on it a lot this week because I was building the crawler, but I will be on it again, and I'm about to order a load of rocks for the crawler course.

I'll try and get some pics of it like it is, and this weekend I'll form the jumps again and get some pics of the finished product as far as the dirt is concerned for now.

Well I've been waiting on a ran to come because when the surface dirt that I have gets damp, it gets very shapable and the clumps just fall right apart. All that's left is raking a few jumps by hand, so I've been waiting on some rain. We finally got some last night, and I'm just waiting on it to dry up just enough so that I can work with the dirt. I'll take some pics while I'm out there. I'm working on designing a system where I can open some gates and change from the full track setup, to a smaller track layout designed just for 1/18.

i can't wait to see the finished track.must be nice to have land.i used to have 15 acres in fredricksburg,va.then i got out of the army and divorced.sold everything and moved back to florida.

Well a few of us are talking about having a big RCNT get together for a few days. A few days of bashing, a few days of racing, and a lot of barbecueing and good times. Some of our members have already pledged to donate large amounts of money to help out with the cost of things. It's not going to be anytime soon, and I'm not promising anything, but it is something that we're working on.

Alright I finally got some pictures. I took the old faithful baja out for some track time today. I took these pics this morning before I started running on the track, that's why the track surface looks so slick. All that's left is to lay down the flexi-pipe stuff that I'm using for the lane walls. I've got plenty of money saved up, just haven't had time to go get them. I need about 700 feet so I may have to go to two stores. The track looked much better after I ran on it some, but when I got finished it was too dark to take good pictures. The dirt is setting up absolutely beautiful. I was a lil dissapointed when I saw how it dried up after a big rain, but after 10 minutes of running on it, everything looked beautiful. It's setting up and breaking loose on top just like I wanted it to.

That is 6 loads of dirt so far. I've got 4 more coming in a week or so so that I'll be able to vary the elevation a lot more. It's really flat right now.

Looking GREAT Charlie. You are one busy boy. I can't wait for the RCNT picnic your hosting so I can shake your hand.
