hey guys I'm spencer.i have a problem with my associated .15 engine that I'm putting on my duratrax.it has a universal crankshaft that I'm not sure i connected correct to the gears.anyhow I'm trying to break it in but when i try to set the idle speed i can't get it low enough to keep the truck from moving because when i lower it the truck wont start.any ideas?could this also have to do with the low speed needle or because i did not connect the new engine properly?

try the trim on the radio if you hit the breaks and it idles down then your trim is to much on the engine

thanks man but i dont think its the trim.i have it set up so it does not close or open the carb when the throttle is at neutral

so that i know if i did put this together correctly can someone let me know what parts are required for the correct installation

you might have to let it break in to get that idle lower. does it kinda jump a little at idle or does it just roll forward

ya thats what i was going to try but i need a new glow starter and plugs so ill try that soon but all it does is roll.no jump.once it starts it is as if i am already throttling it a little bit

ya thats right.unless i put the breaks on the wheels are trying to spin.so if i did assemble it wrong may i have missed putting the clutch in and it runs without it?

Without the clutch, the wheels won't turn. I just saw your other thread and judging from that a pic may be in order to help figure it out.

BTW,one thread is all you need per problem. Let's pick one and stay in it until we figure out what's going on. So IMO,let's use your second thread.

ok thanks man.sorry i am new to this so i posted one and then read that i would get more response from the general category
