carb problem

High any one out there can help me out I have a ansmann virus the small screw that goes inside the pinch bolt is as tight as it will go and the carb is still a bit lose can I still drive the rc please

It sounds like you've stripped the thread by over tightening it

I got tired of one of my engines carb working loose,so I drilled a hole in the
side of the block at the carb base,an threaded it,like a set screw.
But I dont recomend it if youve never did any tap & die threading!

Take the nut off and put a few small washers on,..get some copper rtv and seal it all up while your at it

This is what I used,but normally,I use the orange one,hi heat sensor safe one.
Heres a pic of it.You just apply it on the carb throat that slides into the block.

Here you can see some of the rtv around the carb throat,but it actually is
on the carb throat itself that slides into the block.

Was tha meant to be It's or is.
If are you referring to the actual hole the carb slides into, then hot rod dob's idea sounds pretty good, along with using some RTV sealeant. If that doesn't fix it then do hot rod dob's Idea, like he said, if you're stuck on how to thread a hole, just youtube it

Over time from loosening and tightening the carb throat itself gets worn out and the surface where the nut sets wears down,the groove in the pinch bolt also can wear a lil........

And the orange rtv is the copper,just to clarify

My carb does not have a o ring on the bottom of the carb what will happen if it's not on the carb mate please

Some engines have them and some don't,..just use the rtv all around the top of the carb and slip it back into the engine bud,no biggie,without having one it's just a potential area for an air leak

DO NOT put the RTV in the engine opening but put it around the neck of the carb. Slide it into the engine but do not push it all the way in. Leave it about 1/16 from flush. Let it sit that way overnight, then push down on the carb while tightening the nut. That way it will actually create a soft seat, much like an O-ring, instead of just squishing it all out.

One thing that really annoys me is when I see people trying to glue things, to then push it down to hard so that it squishes out everywhere so then there's no glue left to hold together the thing they're gluing...
