hey guys...just got a quick question about gettin my truck to idle right...its idling really fast and i have the idle screw backed almost all the way out...the slide in the carb is just barely cracks but it still idles really fast...tries to lurch forward pretty fast too...just wonder what else can cause a fast idle...any help is greatly appreciated...thanks...

fast idle

you have an air leak somewhere....possibly...spray some soapywater or wd40 and look for small bubbles.

yup mine did that too and it was lsn to lean, i richened it up about 1/16 turn and readjusted the idle screw so there was about 1mm gap and it runs great now.

yup

Yup these guys are right^^^^^ I made the assumption that it was on tune..then started high rev. Anyways , check your LSN

The best practice is to always seal the engines before you first run them. Then, I would recommend to use the heat-cycle method for break in. After it's fully broken in, then I would start to tune for power.
