K well to start off my buggy was running fine. All of a sudden it just wouldn't start anymore. So i figured that it was the glow plug. I got a new glow plug and it still wouldn't start. I cleaned out the carborator and still nothing. The engine is not ceased up and i just don't know what else is going on. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get my buggy up and running again it would be greatly appreciated. All suggestions are taken into consideration. Thanks

Is your glow ignitor charged? Test it by taking the new plug out of the engine and connecting it to the glow starter. If it glows, it's good.

What do you have for a starter?
P.s. I'm only new to the network not cars

ya i charged my glow plug for like 24 hours, then took the glow plug out and it was bright orange so i don't think that is my problem. Any other suggestions?

I just have a glow plug ignighter. Some sort of cadmium battery thingy.

probably to do with ur fuel, try pouring a little nitro down the plug hole then try fireing ur buggy up if it fires then u know ur cars not drawing fuel like it should
if so take ur fuel pipes off and blow down them so they are clear try to avoid tasteing too much nitro not nice

Well, if the motor has decent compression (an audible *pop* when you turn it over), it should start. Perhaps set both needles to flush, and then lean down the main needle until it starts.

ya i think that's whawt my problem is. I have no compression it feels like. The start cord pulls way to easily. What can i do about this.

A couple of observations...
1. A glo plug that is glowing orange vice white is not hot enough. If the glo plug is brand new, then your ignitor is weak. Some sub c or sub d cell ignitors just don't cut it. You may want to try another ignitor.
2. Overpriming (or flooding) the engine can cause this issue. Fuel starvation can cause this issue. Do not flood the engine. Check your fuel filter to make certain it is not clogged up or partially blocked, as this will cause an artificially lean condition and make the engine hard to start.
3. Lack of compression...if the engine is old, you can get a new one (if your pockets are deep enough)...or you could get a new piston and sleeve....or you could try to get the sleeve pinched. Any one of these things will be costly. I would say, solve the glo plug problem, verify the fuel problem as non-existent, and then try to start it up. Sometimes, the lack of solid compression can be overcome by a nice hot plug and some decent fuel supply. In the end, you can run the RC, but will probably still need to look into a new engine or refit of the old one.

Make sure your cooling head is tightened down all the way, It can shake loose sometimes and theres your compression problem..

Just a thought, It used to always happen on my 3.3 until I put a nova head on it.

if thers any leaks in the piston or glow plug cooling head anything will make u lose compression check and check again
