Well I got a new crawler project a while back, so I took it to the 1/10 scale chassis shop that does all my work. These guys are small, but they sure are good at what they do.

Anyway, one of them was just bout to crawl under my rig when he realized that I had it propped up on a high lift jack and a pack of Camels. He gave me some big speech about shop insurance and workers comp, and told me that it was employees only in the shop, and that all Axial vehicles must be secured. I fought back with "What the hell do you care, you're an action figure, your head swivels all the way around!" but he wouldn't have it.

So Lloyd, who looks a lot like GI Joe, hopped in the AX10 and drove over to "East Side Crawler Products" and bought some jackstands, since they're getting ready to do a full chassis and suspension shop on the rig. I took some pictures for you guys, but the little 1/10 scale shop employees hid from the camera. I think they might have outstanding warrants.

Oh and sorry its so dirty, I bought it from a friend and thats just how it came out of the box. In fact, I just took it out of the box a few minutes ago, its been in the box sitting here for about a month since I got it lol. That's why I decided to take it to my friends at the "Four Inch Lift Shop" to work on it, its not good to let cars or trucks sit up too long without driving them. Get it four inch lift shop, cuz they're 1/10 scale people!

Yeah, Jim is Lloyd's brother in law, and Jim really got Lloyd interested in scalers. Hopfully, Lloyd and Jim are going to have a family reunion at one of the national scale meets next year. Lloyd is waiting on the last few parts to build his bad ass Chevy 4x4.

Thats one of those things that are like 50 bucks, but you just have to have them. My LHS had them for 50 bucks anyway.

I would have built them before I gave fifty bucks for them. They were $10 a pair with shipping. I would definitely start shopping prices before buying from your LHS lol. Ok You're right, I would have given 50 bucks for them haha. They're cool as hell. I have some sick build threads coming up soon.

wow charlie those things are killer awesome!!! and this Lloyd guy sounds like the baddest mother f***** ever!!!!

Yeah he's a cool guy to have around the shop. I gotta be careful, he likes to take my rig for a test drive when he's supposed to be working on it, and he breaks more parts than anyone I've ever seen.

yeah, i do shop around quite a bit. The things you need are reasonably priced, but the things you NEED are outragious.

I buy about 99 percent of my hobby stuff online. The local guys just can't compete, and don't really try. I believe in supporting the LHS, but I'm going to spend my money wisely and if they can't compete its not my fault. I'd rather buy six parts from the forums as I find them as rediculous prices when I don't need them, then wait until I need it and pay the same amount for one part at the LHS.
