I'll be honest, I'm not sure which vehicle you have or the type of clutch you're using, but here's a basic diagram of a clutch setup for a buggy. Hope it helps:

Clutch_Setup-01.jpg

Is this close? Just not sure where the 3rd bearing is coming from.

its a 2 speed clutch bell so it is a little long than you show there but that little diagram helps me alot i think i have the clutch shoes in backwards. gonna try that as well

If you're looking at the front of the engine (clutch pointed at you), the crank rotates counter clockwise. Maake sure the pins are to the left of the shoes and the part that contacts the bell is to the right (at the top, reverse on the bottom).

I've never played with a 2 speed CB, so I'm having trouble grasping the 3 bearing setup, but I think I might understand.

so now i have my clutch in correctly and same thing is happening i ordered a new crankshaft and piston and sleeve from xtm i am thinking maybe i damaged one or more of those parts when i put them back together. reason i think this is that the compresion does not seem like it as as strong as lets say my .21 buggy engine.

If the compression is low, and it's a new engine, then that may very well be true.

finally fixed it i replaced the crankshaft and piston sleeve one or the other must have gotten damaged in transit from the factory or something runs like a champ now thanks for all the help guys
