didnt like the blue and the aluminum was pitted black so this is the way i wwent with it. i didnt wipe the oven cleaner off fast enough. airplane paint stripper will clean the pits off when i decide to take the paint off and run it raw alum.

I too like the look of raw aluminum 
If you ever want to strip aluminum try Greased lightning that stuff takes off anodize off really good and doesn't harm the aluminum. Also if you do use the oven cleaner and it turns black you can use real fine wet sand paper and it will take it off with some work, trust me I know from personal exsperiance lol. I did the same thing to my aluminium wheels with easy off oven cleaner.
