my friend has the hitec lynx fm radio and he got it used with no manual and hes was wondering what that silver looking button is under the dial that is next to the throttle.

Nitroaddict would be the person to talk to. He runs that radio. You can send him a PM. There might be a few others but he is the only one I know about.

If this is the radio he got...

Then this is the owner's manual:

You can find a lot of information at most manufacturer's websites. Here is HiTec's Homepage:

raceman - i answered your PM. I used to have the first radio before upgrading to the second one u see in the pics.

that button is to cancel the dual rate setting u have and return to 100% throw.

EXAMPLE: u have dual rate set at 50% steering and need to make a sharp turn. By holding that button down, while turning the wheel, u will now have 100% steering.

I can second NA's answer, my dad has the exact same radio in the first picture, doesn't use anything else, he suggested to me to get this radio as well. and i know from watching my dad that that button is used to slow down the steering. Since i race my car on my 1.5lane road, it's hard for me to turn sharp enough to keep away from those ever-so-naughty kerbs... lost a dogbone from my RS4 3 when i hit one at WOT...also flipped the car too. and my dad is also racing with me and he car turn on a dime. i'm green with envy! oH, and since I need a new throttle servo, might as well replace the electronics all together...
