My D. Current on my charger for discharging to storage voltage is set to 1.0 Amps, so it takes hours to discharge. Is it okay to turn it up a bit?

The battery that I'm discharging is a 4s 5000mAh 50c

I do not know what type of charger you have .. some dual bank chargers one can either hook a lead acid battery as power supply . of buy or build a resistor block.. chargers that be used that way are ichargers.or a few others .I built a discharge bank to do my larger cells...

you can discharge a lipo thru balance plug I think up to around 6 amps....
flysky discharger might work on 4 cells
