Can a bad crystal ruin a receiver??

27 mhz traxxas tq2 - I just had 2 receivers quit working. They both worked for about 2 runs (nitro stampede) then all of the sudden next time i tried to use it they (the receivers) were dead. The servos still 'jump' when i turn the power on the car, but that is it.

I bought the unit used with the crystals. On the rx crystal, the contacts (or prongs) are bent slightly.

Can a bad crystal ruin a receiver? thanks for your time.

How do you know that it is the RX? Did you look for frayed wires on the servos? could you be shorting? Did you check to see if the crystals actually oscillate at the correct frequency?

Thanks for the response. Boy do i feel like a dummy. It was a bad crystal. Everything is just fine with a new set of crytals.
