So I came across a deal today, a guy has a traxxas spartan rtr without batteries he said he would sell me for 350 brand new, and I'm thinking add another 300 bucks to that to get it to where it really needs to be with cooling mods and diff motor and esc. Now its that or a savage flux hp. I have a big lake about maybe 150 yards of my back portch and could use a boat every day but then again i could use a savage every day. For about the same price i can have a tricked out spartan or a badass flux. What would you do.

me myself honestly I would go with the truck first and then the boat and then you could even make a trailer and you can load your boat and unload it... I seen a couple trailer setups and they look pretty cool.... I have never used a savage flux before but I enjoy the emaxx alot!!! and the brushless slash is fun too but everyone has a little bit different taste.... I heard that the savages were heavier then the emaxx ( unless you go all aluminum I think). I would have a hard time to living that close to water.....

I live up above it so where okay, And I'm selling my slash it was fun but i want more power. The reason I'm considering a boat is because iv never had one and sounds fun and its priced right. But that savage flux looks like a @#$%ING beast. idk what to do

monster trucks are a blast cause you can drivem bout anywhere you want... I just picked up a brushless slash and she is fast but not much for bashing... It would be better on a track.... I have always been interested in the boats but one thing has kept me from them..... That is I am affraid of doing something stupid and loosing it in the water.... I will have one eventually... I just like the mess the trucks and cars make... I have 2 3.3 nitro tmaxx's , 2 classic tmaxx's (1 with a 3.3 on it)Brushless slash2wd, Brushed emaxx, brushed bandit(daughters), Brushed slash2wd(sons), Brushed rustler(oldlady's), And they each have a red cat volcano apiece and we have a hpi RS4 3Evo to share on paved tracks.... Like i said a boat would be cool just make sure you dont get something that you will get bored with quick.... Look at alot of different things cause you dont wanna buy something and 2 days later see something you have to have.... Keep us posted on what you decide. and what you end up gettin.. What are you selling you slash for and which model is it..

Its posted here on the classified's its a 4x4 that has been tricked out and hardly used. I wanted to race it but due to the situation I'm in their wont be any racing for some time. And i dont wanna bash that. Figgered a monster truck will do the trick or try something new and go with a boat, Iv been wanting one for awile but like you said I'm afraid of loosing it too.

Honestly you should go with the flux , running a boat will be like using your flux in a big open field with no jumps but with the flux you can do much more than that , I have a slash 2wd and a flux and I've been considering selling my slash but having both is very versatile I use both for bashing but the slash is more durable , just make a decision you won't regret

Probably the flux! I have a few electric rc boats and they are a blast i just dont live close enough to water to really enjoy them 2 much
