Yeah I've been seeing a lot of Nitro owners putting cable ties on the top fin??? why??? I can see for the savage or T-Maxx to protect if from a roll over maybe??? But I've seen them on On road cars??

I would especially put them on my on-roads. I sent mine flying upside down at about 37mph and slid a loooooooooong ways. Needless to say, the head took a major beating. Of course, I was running without the body on for tuning (that was the bigger mistake). I purchased some head buttons that work really well too.

I do this with every mill I get. Its one of the first things I do when I take it out of the box along with checking all the seals and screws. 4-6 zip-ties is cheap insurance.

it's also important that you use the correct size zip ties. i only had the small ones and they broke off one by one. the bigger the zip tie, the better the protection.

You are limited to the size of zip by the size of the holes in the head. Use the largest you can install. Home Depot has a Tube filled with an assortment of different sizes and colors, good investment.

Tip:
After installing the zips, use CA glue in the head od the zip before you cut the end off. This will insure the best possible strength.

I do this with all my mills from now on, I was breaking in my new os15cv-rx and forgot to put them on, I reached down to pick the car up and it slipped out of my hands, I maneged to dampen the fall with my foot but the car flipped and scratched the head of my brand new motor, now, usually you know your gonna scratch it sooner or later but I wasn't excpecting it during break-in, I was pissed! as fast Eddy stated, cheap insurance!! Makes sense to me!
