Hello all, I've been really liking the cab only bodies and I'd love to do one. I have a trx4 (used to be defender) that I shortened the wheelbase to do a pick up body but I'm not sure if I'd like to keep it that way. I still have all the parts to stretch the wheelbase again. My questions are:

if you have cab only builds, do you have a long or short wheelbase?

Has anyone converted a trx4 into a cab only rig? If you have, mind posting some pics??

What would be a decent battery to fit in the front so I can have a clean look towards the rear of the truck that would yield about an hour or so of runtime?

Thanks in advance.

I didn't go cab only, but i lowered a PL Comanche body as low as possible (it sits on the chassis rails). Removed the stock battery tray, added a chassis brace instead of it between the rails. I run my battery on one slider and electronics on the other. Any 2200-3000 should be OK, choose a lighter/more compact one. Hobbyking has some good examples (Zippy compact). C rate isn't a big factor on crawlers.

That's the exact body I have on right now and I'm struggling with sitting it on the sliders . Do you have any pics of your build by any chance??

I don't have any useful pics, I can snap a couple when I get home.

I actually don't have sliders, but those side shelves that the sliders hang off... Can't remember what they're called 😂
