So my grandpa owns a summit and today he went to run it. As soon as he plugged the batteries in smoke and sparks came from the ESC. It just toasted it. So I wanted to see if he did something wrong. Here is what he has done with the truck for the last 30 days.

-Got new 7 cell NiMH Batteries
-Took it to his cabin and ran it to the snow
-Left his controller at the cabin so I threw the traxxas revo controller in it.
-And today bye bye esc

The truck is about 8 months old. Was it just its time to go?

Thanks

Thats just the nature of electronics. Does he have the purchase reciept? If so, get a hold of traxxas and they might replace/fix it for free.

He did. I gave them a call. They can sell me one for 50 shipped but then I have to ship mine back. Still cheaper..

What esc is it?
