I am having a hard time deciding between a truck or a buggy  I want to bash around my house and race it in a year. I also want to do fairly big jumps. I have talked to some people and they say don't get a buggy because it will break if you jump it big and bottom out lots. If I do get a buggy it will be a Kanai 3 or MP 777. Am i making the wrong decision by getting a buggy? Wjat do you guys suggest

Definetely get a buggy! I have a Savage, RS4, my friend has a MT, and I also have a buggy. The buggy is by far the most fun to bash with. It has the best balance between off-raodability, handing, and ease of control. Definetely buggy, this is a no brainer IMO.

What do you consider "fairly big". Buggies are a blast to drive, and with a Kanai or 777 you won't be breaking many parts so I would agree with you and go with the buggy.

I consider fairly big as 50 footers pretty much motocross jumps. I want to do backflips and such.

Damn you would go good with El P. Those are some big ass jumps, but I think a buggy would still hold up better then a MT. MTs are durable, but more fragile then buggies. So my vote is still for the buggy, and ps when you get the buggy take some video of that thing flying off of those huge jumps!

I agree, go with the buggy. One of the few sronger R/Cs is a savage, but buggies are more fun to drive IMO.

i also had that question a few weeks ago.
i went with the savage ss. just got it in today. building it right now

if ya only wanna race on sandy, gravel roads then go with the buggy.
if ya wanna huh... just race "anywhere" then go with the truck (savage).

the savage can drive anywhere you want and take HUGE jumps. A buggy is already having a hard time in tall grass.

check out some vids to help you decide

let us know what you buy

I have had a few different MT and a few different ST, But never a buggy. But have seen them in Action and now I want one. They look HELLA Fun! Id say go with the buggy. MT are fun to bash with, but liek others said, sometimes seem fragile. And a buggy seems to be more stable and tends to land on its feet more. Id vote buggy.

I was just throwing that number out for fun but because of what you have said I am definately getting a buggy. Now I have to decide between Kanai 3 or MP777. I am going to hit big air and I will get footy of it.

HOLD ON! Yes a buggy will get great air and it will hold up great but.....
It all depends on what type of surface it is on! Put a buggy on a MX track that has MX ruts and it will suck big time next to a truck. Grass depends on how thick but 9 times out of ten the truck will be tops. Now get it on a track and the buggy rules. I have a K3 and I will not sell it to go back to the trucks but I race it that's about it. If you want to play in rocks even smaller ones the buggy is not a good option. BMX track win goes to the buggy. Just thought I would put in my .02 I have raced buggy for 5yrs and would say it is the most fun out of all the cars I have had but to just go in a field or MX track I would rather have a truck. If u do still go buggy look at the X-Ray XB8 also
