I already have a Savage. So, for ultimate "light" bashing what would you suggest an ST or a Buggy. And what type of buggy (because in my previous post you had already suggested the Rustler for a good ST).
:smoke:

First, how much are u willing to spend?

Second, If u do a search, u will find that the past couple of weeks there are a few threads talking about buggies Inferno 7.5, Mugen MBX-5 ,etc... and some talk of some Stadium trucks which may help u out in ur decision.

Third, Remember that these are opinions and u have to do some researching. Such as ur LHS has the spare parts or the parts are easy to come by.

Hope I've been of some assistance.

Well, if you read I already own a Savage so that should tell you I am not a newbie. I understand that opinions are less than half of a purchase decision. I will check out the facts but, I need a place to start. As for "how much" I am willing to spend, that is a good question. I want a kit, but I want the total cost (including the electronics and stuff) to be under 350-400. :smoke:

I saw the savage part and I didn't think u were a newbie to the seen. I would recommend RC10GT, HPI Nitro MT kits and for the buggies I know ur budget but I would go with inferno and MBX-5.

there is currently no 1/8th buggy kit for this price. You could squeeze by with a stadium truck kit in this price range, but u would have to get the cheapest of everything.
---------------------
Average Buggy
Kyosho 7.5 (not kanaii), GS Storm Pro, HB Lightening Pro, Hyper 7 PBS Pro
Price: 350-500.00

Engine and all support equip: 400.00 (engine, header, pipe, starter box)

radio & electronics: 200.00 (cheap FM TX, high torque servos, charger)

Other misc items: 50.00

Total Cost - $950 - $1200 - and this is for an avg buggy, not a racer
-----------------------
Average Stadium truck
AE RC10GT Team Kit (not factory team) - 240.00

Engine and starter box: - 200.00

Radio and electronics: - 200.00

Other misc items: 50.00

Total Cost - $700.00

Ok then what about the Ofna Ultra LX, I know its RTR but is this in my range.

thighman - something i have learned over the spam of my involvment in RC. dont ever settle for what u can get now. buy what u want if u ahve to save a few more months to get something good, then so be it. the LX is worse than the Axis - and everyone will agree. do not buy that car.
-----
if your budget is only 350-400, then i would recommend the Losi XXXNT RTR. u can pick that up for about 350 after all your misc items. it comes with an awesome radio, and a decent engine. with some small mods later down the road - it is raceable.

Take NA's advice. I went ahead and bought a HPI super nitro and later regret it. I then ended up buying the car I wanted with the proper research and patience and bought the Mugen MTX-3.

Not to sound like an "ass" but no one can get a decent priced buggy to run it once or twice a week. You make it sound like you either buy a Geo Metro or a Bentley.

thigh - the prices i quoted u were for decent priced buggies - if u were to go with the a Kanai II or a Mugen - u will be closer to 2000.00

There are some RTR's that are quite less - and if thats the way u wanna go, check out the GS Storm RTR, The Ofna Hpyer 7 RTR, and the Lightening RTR. All of these buggies are about 500.00 plus about 50.00 worth of misc stuff.
