Hey, i hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years.
(and remember to take down your lights and tree)

I have a Hyper 7 PBS. ARTR i need a engine
i was looking at this http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLU03&P=ML
I also need a Clutch,CB,Flywheel and all those little things, What do you guys recommend I am NOT racing just bashing. I am useing the stock pipe and do I need a special manifold.
all for around $200 or less

Also can i rul=n with out the anti-roll bars.

Thanks.

You may run into trouble trying to run an RG with a pull start and your stock exhaust. Many exhaust headers do not clear the pull start housing on that motor. You may want to consider biting the bullet and going with a non-pullstart model, and a starter box. When I ordered my RG, it came with the necessary exhaust adapter to fit a conventional exhaust despite the fact that the description on Tower's page said it wouldn't. It also came with a glow plug (again, page said it wouldn't).

For a clutch setup, I would suggest aluminum shoes (Mugen, OFNA, Xray or similar) and Mugen 1.0 springs. They provide long life, and good engagement on a wide variety of surfaces. Many clutch bells are similar, but I have had good luck with OFNA vented units, which are cheap, light, and are pretty durable.

Anti-roll bars are an option that would be useful in all but the roughest track conditions. These allow you to run your suspension softer to absorb bumps, without excessive body roll. Otherwise, you may need to stiffen your suspension to keep the car from traction rolling frequently around sharp corners. In extremely rough conditions however, they can hinder performance because they do not allow the wheels to cycle up and down independently enough to absorb bumps from side to side.

I use a savage header without problems on my buggy... as a matter of fact, I use a savage header and pipe without to many problems on my buggy.

Sorry, failed to mention I run the OS 21 RG.

I run the same engine in my savage w/ a savage header/pipe. Pretty good engine for the price. If you take care of it, you can easily get 10 gallons through it before it needs the pinch put back in.

Great choice on the RG... My favorite engine! (untill the Novarossi 21SB came hehe:D) You will get nothing but great performance, great tuning ability, and all around power with the RG. The only part I was having trouble with was the break-in, but that happens to everybody....

BTW, most of the better racers at my old track in PA (enormous track!!!) ran the RG, and came out high in the standings. can't go wrong with the price either :) sorry I can't help with the P/S problem, only had non p/s on mine.

I will cheack with Plaid.

Will this Starter Box work with the Hyper. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCLD9&P=ML
Like I said I dont need the BEST, I am just bashing.

I am about %90 sure I can run a PS cuz my manifold is not stock it is some other manifold. it has a Odd flat spot on the bottom, on the part that connects to the engine. i am guessing it is for clearence on a PS.

Olds do you run a PS. if you do I will just get a Savy manifold.

I used to run a pullstart on my hyper, I used GS storm mounts to make room for the pullstart housing.

Just get this and this. It will only be a few bucks more. The box you linked to will start an RG fine, but if you ever upgrade to a high end engine with a tight pinch, you will really want something with a heavy duty 12 volt motor to crank it.

As for chargers get either a wallwart like this if you are on a low budget. If you don't already own a peak charger for your other batteries, this is a model that can peak charge starter box batteries (rare feature) as well as charge/discharge two different packs at once for around $100.00.
