Ever since I got the IR60 body for my Ascent 18, my Grandson has been all over it. So I decided to turn my trail truck into a birthday present for him.
The truck is mostly stock, with the exception of stainless steel drive shafts, stainless steel suspension links, aluminum transmission housing, 59mm Injora shocks inverted with 50 wt. oil, stock 13:1 steel gears, budget wheels/tires, and Injora 180 motor.
I ordered him the pearl white IR60 body, IR40 aluminum body mounts, remote on/off module for the headlights, 5mm led bulbs, and 22 gauge wire.
As some of you have seen, I am not much of a photographer. As you will soon see, there is not a solderer (is that a real word?) in the country that is in danger of being put out of work because of me.
I spent a few hours this morning shuffling electronics around and butchering the wiring. He he.
I moved the esc to the top of the motor, front tray will hold the battery. One of the things I always disliked about the stock headlights was the length of the wiring, you had juuust enough wire to get there and it acted like a popup book. So I made the headlights harness to split right after the esc, run down each side of the chassis to the rear hinge, and along the inside of the body to the headlights.
Sure have learned a lot! It's ok to laugh, I sure have!
