Brushless upgrades?

Hello
Got a question for those who have done it. Is the Hobbywing Fusion Pro Brushless motor and ESC 2 in 1 a good upgrade? Does the built in BEC work well with the Traxxas 400 steering servo? And does it play well with Traxxas batteries and add ons like the motor temp and battery voltage sensors for the link module?

Yes, it is an awesome upgrade, I have two of them.
I can't comment on the Traxxas battery because I don't use them.
You can set it all up with the Hobbywing program card.

Should be able to work with all of the link stuff/module. Servo should definitely be able to work with it. Traxxas batteries can work with it. You can either solder on a Traxxas plug onto the ESC, or use an adapter from XT60 to Traxxas. (I'm pretty sure it has a XT60 on that hobbywing?)

Any recommendations for a good battery? I’m getting great run time out of the 2S lipo from Traxxas but I’ve heard that they can be kinda bad and borderline dangerous to have around as they get older

What rig do you have? I run a 3s Zeee shorty lipo in my Ecto w/ a Deans T plug. Still brushed, atm, I get long run times. I just got, & have yet to install a Hobbywing Fusion SE 1800kv system in it.
