Dom that is looking sick...i can't wait to see the finished product...
Maybe even buy it from you. When you finish it!LOL

The build has been a ton of fun so far. October is going to be a slow month so I will probably finish it soon.

If you want one Brian I will gladly assemble one for you, putting these things together like any other RC is a blast.

You have PM!

Thanks NC. I will update the thread soon with more progress pics. Just another week until my batteries arrive and she'll be ready to rock.

What drivelines are you using besides the BPP ones?? Stock LSP's?

The front end uses stock LSP CVDs and the rear is using stock dogbones. I have a spare set of dogbones so I am waiting to use up current parts supply before upgrading. Eventually I'll be upgrading to LST CVDs all around with a 17mm buggy hub conversion at the same time. Front and rear diffs are stock LSP, they are hardened and spiral cut so they should last a long time. Diff output cups are chromed Savage pieces. Diff weight oils are 5K rear, 7K front and 100K center.

Dom ya may want to use the LST 2 CVD's as they claim to be stronger than the LST 1's

It does look like a nice truck, but a VERY heavy one at that. How much does it weight right now? By the pics there seems to be plenty of places they could have lighted it.

100k seems kindof heavy for the center?

From what I have read from other brushless truggy conversions, 100K in the center will help keep the front from unloading. I'll try it out and if it is too heavy I'll put in a lighter oil.

Woodie, right now with the current wheels/tires the truck weighs 8 lbs 9oz. Fully loaded with electronics/batteries I assume it will weigh somewhere in the 11-12 lb range. I could save at least a pound by switching to lighter tires and wheels. The wheels and tires weigh 2lbs 12 oz. Pretty heavy stuff.

Thats a beauty!

Video Video Video!

When it's done of course.

I will definitely get some video. Good news is that the wife decided to take our daughter to Disneyland next week so that leaves me with some quality time to get intimate with the build.

Update

I decided to forgo the stock LSP bumper and fitted the HB Lightning 2 buggy bumper instead.

Steering assembly installed. I went with a JR 9000T servo, Mugen MBX5 Prospec type ackerman, and swapped the stock steering rods for Prospec rear upper rods.

Shocks were rebuilt with 50 wt oil front and rear and red medium springs fitted. Now I just need to figure out where to place all the electronics.

Thanks guys. I'm working on a mount for the ESC, should have it done by this weekend.
