Ok, so if the esc has a 20a continuouse output and a 50a max for 10 second
and is rated up to 12 working volts. Will a 1500Mah 11.1v 25c (30c max) work?

yes but expect it to run hot which in turn will lower the life.

I have a duratrax vendetta w/ ezrun motor and esc 5400Kv w/stock gearing

On stock gearing with 3S the ESC should be OK with that set-up. However watch your motor temps on 3S (keep it below 140 F). Keep a few spare pinions that are smaller than stock if the motor starts to run hot.

On 2S amp draw is higher than 3S. So, 3S would run cooler on the ESC than 2S.

You can't fix what isn't broken. :hehe:

Correct me if I'm wrong, so the 3s will run cooler? I really appreciate the help, can't wait to bullet proof this buggy and watch it fly. Btw i found two 3s 25c 11.1v batterys on ebay for 28.00$ free shipping, good deal huh!

So the 3s will run the motor hotter but the esc cooler than the 2s?
