RC Driving Style
Been thinking about it for some time.. Now that I have a milling machine in house I can play with my designs I have been working on. Prototyping is now done completly in house and will help bring the onslaught of new concepts to the scene..

I think I am going to eliminate the stock tranny, radio box, engine plate, ect, and use the skid plate as my main chassis.. The TVPs will become the braces for this pan style chassis set up it will become.. The motor mount I made can be mounted in many ways, and I havent drilled the holes for the motor or the possition yet.. So my center diff set up will work and I should have a completed prototype very soon..

Here is the mount to this point..

is one motor going to be enough power to move it?

i think you could get 2 motors in there, and then fit a gear on the front of the spur shaft to drive them.

Hey mega, haven't you seen a brushless savage run? It's quite the site!

I see that the motor skip is using for a mock up isn't brushless, but the thread title says he may be using brushless.

Yea olds.. your correct.. This is just a mock up engine for now.. I am reading up on the brushless motor I want for this project.. I have seen the vids of a high quality BL savage and its quite faster than any nitro I have seen.. Also I am not usintg the savage tranny, and guts, as I am removing all that and lossing 3-4lb off the truck.. So it will be quite a fast truck when its all done..

Direct drive, single speed, brushless, hopefully a 100 size can, (a brushless 540 would make it go but a 100 would be AWESOME!!!!)

I'd look into the Plettenberg 1800 watt systems. The brushless Savages I have seen with this system hauled ass. I'll see if I can dig up the video.
