It "could" work. Its a cheapo rebranded Hobbywing V2.1 esc from 10 years ago. Seen a couple instances where the cheapo ones like to catch fire. That motor is a 4500kv which is way too much for a heavier monster truck.

I would look into the Hobbywing 10BL120 G2 3652 combo. Or if it can fit, which it should but its going to be a tight fit, the 3660 combo would be more better since it has a bit more torque to move those bigger wheels.

The motor kv also depends on what battery/voltage you are running. If for just 2s, 3500kv-4000kv range should just be enough. You might have to gear down slightly. If for 3s, 3000-3500kv range with some conservative gearing will be good too.

I was told it needs a 3650 motor

Will this be ok to change my Maverick Quantam MT from brushed to brushless
Do NOT buy that specific ESC combo. Look for the one that has a setup button on the on/off switch.

Just a word of caution with those "blue 120A" ESCs. Some places will give specs on the speed control as 2S~4S LiPo power handling. Other places will say 1S~2S LiPo only. Depending on the choice of motor and the weight of RC platform, I'd stick to mainly 2S LiPo battery if choosing to go with one of the "blue 120A ESCs.

The "blue 120A" ESCs without a setup button have no way to calibrate the throttle endpoints... they just look for a neutral signal and that's it. The worst ESC I've ever dealt with.
