The truck steers when held in the air but, on carpet or solid surface it will not turn. The whole frame seems to drop a bit too much. Can anyone help?
 
check servo saver. rebuild all shock new Orings new oil.test servo replace if needed, check esc bec

Just kidding. Are they stock tyres? Was the truck in a smash up that may have damaged the gears of the servo or bent anything on the steering? When trying to steer on the carpet, does the servo keeps whining like it is spinning, some other noise, or does it just make noise for the normal amount of time and then stop?
 
I'm assuming you are talking about the TRX-4 Bronco? If it is, then it's most likely the plastic servo horn that's stripped out (the black part attached to the servo). Traxxas offers a metal servo horn for $6 and you can probably get that so it doesn't happen again.
