Hey Guys.

I'm new to the site. just came across this post and thought Id let yas know I have a mgt4.6 as well. Have some tranny troubles with it now. Type in stripped gears in the forums search tool bar. Hopefully you guys have some input on it.

My mgt 3.0 motor just died. No idea why just ka-put. I had to run to the local hobby shop and put a BRAND new motor in it and its only 3 weeks old.

second gear problems

macca,

look into the hole where you can adjust when it shifts and see if the teeth are stripped of second gear(the gear that you see when you look in that hole is second) it may have stripped off like mine which i think is the result of slipper clutch being too tight. second gear is a ten dollar part and tranny is pretty easy to take apart if you havent already.

Hi Jake.
I've taken my truck to my LHS as I'm not a great mechanic, neither is my dad so. i would say we have fixed about 50% percent of out problrms so were not doin 2 bad atm. lol
