I'll most likely be getting a nitro truck in the next month or so for a project I'm working on. What's the best way to break in a motor? I've been pure electric so this is going to be new for me.
Thanks.

Well there are so many different ways. Some people swear by the traxxas method, and some people have their own ways. I have always used the traxxas method where for the first tank you use the stock settings and go only 1/4 throttle for 2 seconds. Then you go to 3 seconds on the second tank. On the third you do 1/2 throttle for 2 seconds. Then 3 seconds for the 4th tank. On the 5th you do full throttle for 3 seconds. And on the 6th you do full throttle for 5 seconds. After that you just drive normally but not way too hard until you put a good gallon through it to thoroughly break it in. Others will choose this method, but on the first tank they will just let the motor idle itself out of fuel. There are so many different way to do this, it's best to try one that you think sounds good, and try it.

i like to idle the first tank, and then for the next 5 or more tanks, lightly run it, getting harder and harder every run. i make sure the engine cools between tanks AND IT IS VERRY IMPORTANT TO PUT THE PISTON AT BDC
