i recently brought a new engine as mine was getting on its last legs, because i brought the car second hand i didnt have to break the engine in, i was hoping someone could tell me the quickest and easyest way to break in a nitro engine.

many thanks

i did mine like this
1.let engine idle warm for a couple of mins, stop let ti cool then start again keep doing this for a full tank of fuel
, then for the next 4 tanks i drove the car, slowly for first tank then slighty increasin my speed each tank, letting the car cool inbetween runs, on the 4th run i gave it very short almost full throttle bursts , then with 5th tank i gave it longer full throtlle bursts ,

my car starts with a couple of pulls now so i t can't of done my engine bad but I'm new to this so take someone elses advice over mine, there are plenty of guides in the noob section so read them, hope this helps :)

The heat-cycle method is the best to go. It works on all engines and you get more life and performance from your engine. Both my friend and I had the same engine. He did his just by the old fashion way, I did mine by the heat-cycle method. I think his died (I have to ask him.), but mine's still running.

To add another newb question on this (sorry VtecScott) would it be a good idea if you started you break in with a higher % glow fuel? I have yet to break mine and it will be the first but I am thinking this would put a better coating on the engines insides. I haven't done this yet just wanting to know.
