There have been a couple times where I almost resorted to a hammer.

i have actually seen people fix rc cars this way

I've used quite a few zip ties myself. Never a hammer though, YET...

i use duct tape

i put it on the bottom of the bandit and rustler and a few others
it save the chassis from getting all scraped up and i have digging the dirt out of the screw holes

I HAVE used a hammer once on a Duratrax....it had a bad day so I put it out of it's misery. Zip ties are a must though...always keep some in the bag. I have ironed on lamination sheets to bottom of the chassis of an Rc10 once....worked...um...ok

I thought you were able to wrench with an avocado, paperclip, and a waterballoon?

the avocados are to ripe ..can't do nothing with them ...i need something that can take my abuse ...i use paperclips often ...they can work with flat head screws .....water balloons keep bursting and i get my shoes wet
