After another post a saw, i have access to three legends in the family. What are some ideas for an inexpensive electronics setup to get currently. Kinda want to redo the vision of what these were without anything to crazy. Low end and spec minded.

Hobbywing WP1080 (brushed) or 10BL60 (brushless) for the ESC, motor of your choice.

I'm hoping to get the local track to possibly run a pan car class for those types of car. Not much point in running a modified class with a 40 yr old chassis. It would be spectacular if a win came out of it though. You never know.

What esc and motor are you running?

@xxtcrageless - as for a radio, if you want cheap, you can't beat a Flysky GT3B for around $35 on Amazon. If you do manage to get a class going at your hobby shop you're going to want to step up your radio gear though. For that one of the Flysky Noble's would be your best bet. There is also the Radiomaster MT12, which is a great radio, but it has a bit steeper learning curve.

I have a Traxxas BL-2S in the modified looking one. It's just easy to set up. I'm really lazy. 2s battery should push that featherweight around pretty good. Might do the same for the one I just got. It came with a Flysky in it.

We run those in a 6.5 breakout class. Every once in a while they will run heads up. Most of them slap whatever they have laying around so older HW ESCs and motors but a lot of people just put old Traxxas slash electronics in since it's basically free
