Bogging Problem?

I could use some advise... I am not a newbie but far from expert either.
I have a new 1/10 buggy that will not finish off a tank of fuel, it will stop running about 3 times during a tank and it just boggs down and stops.
I have checked the tank for leaks (None), I have siliconed the carb, I have slices of fuel tubing over the tubing at all connections (as a clamp).

I started out with a slightly used XTM 18 engine whiched seemed to have good compression and it runs well until the bogg, I replaced it with a new XTM 18 and after break-in, it does the same thing... so I must assume the engine is not the problem.
Any thought would be appreciated....

Sounds like the tunning. Is it bogging out when trying to accelerate? Or at top speeds? Or at an Idle. Some more info would be helpfull.

No, takes off fine, runs fine and then mid throttle it boggs. I have also swhiched out several glow plugs during all this. Fuel is 20% and 2 weeks old.

If your glow plugs are dying you may have a lean problem. Extremely lean conditions can cause bogging too. Try richening it 1/8 turn and see what happens.

The glow plugs were not dying, just tried several in both engines to see if it made any difference, which it didn't.

With it acting like it had a timer on it, I thought the first (used) engine might be getting to a certain temp and loosing compression, BUT then the new 2nd engine acting the same way, I'm not sure what the problem is. Temps on the first engine stayed in the 260 270 range, new engine with only about 6 tanks is at 230-240's so far still lots of smoke.

I have been on the throttle off and on to keep it cleaned out, but maybe it still is loading up?

What temp range of plugs are you using?

Not sure, right now I have a Traxxas plug for a Jato 3.3, but I have used OS A3 and A5 which are cold to hot. The XTM 18 recommendes a short cold plug after break-in.
But the more I think about it... with it bogging at regular intervals, it must be loading up and too rich on the low end screw.

If its just 2 weeks old, i think that your right...running too rich. my engine was on the rich side when i first got i too!! Just a thought, could be wrong...=devil
