i got my boat today and it's time to start the build...i don't have the money to order my stuff right now so i did what i could with out money lol....

a lil info about the set up i'm going to be running is:

Motor and esc: Aquacraft sv27 setup

Rudder and strut: Catamaran Strut and Rudder System

Batteries: I'm just going to get a few 3s lipos and run them in parrallel(i think) to double the mah

and that really is basicly it lol...

here is what i did today:

first i pulled off the rudders and prop shafts and everything that were on the boat:

next pulled the radio box and motor mounts out:

and i did all that with only accidenly putting one hole in the hull lol:

That's the same thing I did to my big Catamaran. Took it out of the box and stripped all the cheap parts out of it. I have alloy hardware and rudders and an E-Savage system for it.

41 inches without the hardware. I'll need to reinforce the inside of the stern before it can handle the power I'll be putting in it.

Post a pic of the top of your boat. I'm also looking for a V-hull for a single prop with a brushless system. Again, I have the electrics already, just looking for another boat.

mines a cat hull to...and i'm going to have to do some work to get this to a single prop lol..

your boat looks pretty good..i'll try and get a pic of the top in a lil bit..i'm not at home right now

ok heres a pic of the top:

I didn't realize yours was a cat. The center is a lot closer to the water, so you won't have any problem going with a single prop drive. Mine is a tunnel that has to have a prop on each side to get in the water at the right angle.

Id love to have a RC boat, but sadly i dont live anywhere near a river or the sea. So i can't get one. :( How did you manage to put a whole in the bottom of it?

the old radion trays and everything where epoxyed in....i managed to get most of it out but then i hit a spot that must have had to much epoxy on it or something

change of plans!

hey guys there has been a change of plans with this..i was looking for rudders on ebay and found this awsome 32 inch fiberglass cat tunnel hull for $103..here it is..(dead link).....so i'm going to build the hull i have with half of the electrics i would need to put in that and just buy the matching motor/esc when i get it...i'll probobly have to "acidentily" run my hull ashore or over something good enough to half wreck it befor my parents let me get another hull but damn that is a nice hull lol.....just wanted to let you all know about my change of plans lol

The link isn't working, but if you put the item number into an Ebay search you'll get it.

I hope you saw that shipping is $40, but that's a good price for a ply-framed fiberglass gel coated hull.
It's built for nitro, so it will have more weight than you'd want unless you go with some serious brushless power.

the one i posted wasn't build for nitro...it was build to put an electric motor in each sponsoon....here will this link work??:http://cgi.ebay.com/32-fibreglass-catamaran-hull-for-electric-rc-boat_W0QQitemZ300317145533QQcmdZViewItemQQptZRadio_Control_Vehicles?hash=item45ec4bf9bd&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A4%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A200...i hope it does...you can see on the pic of the black one that it is made for a dual motor elec set up.

and yes i saw the shipping price...

EDIT: the link works for me now..

I didn't read it all, I guess. Electric it is, but I would strongly suggest you go with dual props whether you run one or two motors. The plywood interior frame is what I need to add to mine before I can put in the mechanicals.
