The tumble you described above is caused by a motor locking up.. Seen it many times. The pretzlel-fied driveshaft absolutely verifies that as well… You didn’t mention it though, so figured I’d ask..
Fair play.

Learn something new every day.

The motor in question is currently sitting in the garden on a time out :D

I’d choose a more suitable grease than white lithium for ring and pinion lubrication as well. It’s pretty terrible for that, and generally people find that it sticks to everything BUT the teeth-which is the ONLY place you need it.. Your photo clearly backs that up as well. Bel Ray or Maxima “waterproof”, Amsoil, Lucas, etc., all make the correct NLGI 2 grease that’s works best for ring and pinion..

Legend.

I have run out of the lithium stuff now thankfully so ill have a look at those other names and grab one.

Imagine our surprise when we went to Dartford Heath and some kind fellows had spent a considerable amount of time creating ramps and jumps! So good we went back the following weekend which the media is from!

Much fun was had!

The previous week had some casualties however,

Louise RC Tyres --> RIP

Dead 7600 14.8v Lipo cell ---> Major RIP

Blown shock end (rather annoying to replace)

And of course the general mess

Before the mess began!

I thought he was being dramatic.. Until I had the same happen to me! To confirm the water was Freeeeeeeezing with little bits of ice.. Oh well

We are both incapable of avoiding puddles..

Inevitably it cut out 😄

Some photo's of the boys together

Then we decided on some air

This is probably one of the last trips for the outcast, my son is hesitant to jump it due to the breakages we have had (some warranted others definitely not!) so another X Maxx is on the horizon

That looks like a fun outing. Great place to do some jumping too.

It really is, all down to some dedicated people who done the work. Council isn't happy though and rumours it could be flattened soon :( so trying to make the most of it while we can.

These vids gave me a big old grin!
Thanks,

It's something I really enjoy doing with the lad a good bit of father son time.
