Hey everyone i just bought a new habao hyper 7 black edition and after runnin it in i have been going through a glow plug every 5 minutes of runnning so i tuned it to the nitro rc chart i found on here ( truns out my engine was running too rich) and it is going alot better but still blowing a few more glow plugs then it should. help!:\

Are you sure it's not your glow starter, I find this is a common mistake by alot of ppl including my self LOL o.s. make good glow plugs, you should get a plug best suited for your type of engine and climate as climate temp effects nitro engines alot so tuning is crucial to the life of your plugs cheers

how could the glow starter do it? yeh i use no.8 medium O.S plugs i just blew another two today and didnt even use a whole tank of fuel any other ideas?

Typically, what you are describing is due to a "too lean" condition. What engine are we talking about here? Vehicle? Ambient temperature( Temp outside while running) What fuel is being used?(nitro and oil %) Air cleaner in good shape and clean? Are you using a fuel filter? Sometimes very small particles will be in the fuel and when they go thru the engine will glom onto the glow plug and cause it to fail. Clean your fuel system, tank, lines, is it fresh fuel or old? If old, discard and get new.

yeh thats wat i thought too but when i tuned it to the nitro rc tuning chart my engine was too rich so i leaned it up a bit. its a hyper7 tq sport black edition with a 21 engine. temp around here had been around 25-30 degrees celcius. and i am running new fuel: 65% methyl alcohol 15% oil and 20% nitromethane. the air filter is good i clean and oil it after every second ride and also have a fuel filter. i will try cleanin out the lines . cheers.
