Diver...remember when you go to a Higher rated bearing you sacrifice endurance for the speed...I guess you do the road racing mostly so it won't affect you as much as us potato growers......but just keep it in mind.....ABEC-3 is probably the best cobination of endurance and performance in any bearing.....or if you're really Psycho about it, I know some companies make ABEC-13 rated bearings for speed skates.....I'm sure you could get em for RCs but one wreck and they'll explode I'm sure....
They grow potatoes in the ocean? Well, as I said, I am just trying them (ABEC 5) out to see what it does. If it'll let the engine spool up with less resistance, then that's good enough for me. The lesser amount of static drag the better. Although the durability issue will yet have to be seen. I'm keeping track of how long it'll take.

No the potato thing is a inside joke my LHS mngr uses all the time...he used to race dirt track, all kinds of classes...then just got tired of all the cleaning you do at the end of a day in the dirt.....now he does pro-stock electric TC and anytime I say come out to the track and school me I get "dirt is for growing potatos" as an answer.....if the swiss bearing company makes any bearings for cars I'd be interested in them...the don't have an ABEC rating but they have got to be the best bearing I've ever used in my skateboard...I've had the same set in my long board for over 10 years now....and yes I used the hell out of that thing....the bearings have a ball holder that's part of the race and very easy to clean /re-build.......fast as hell too....If you ever go tto forest Park in Queens the hill on woodhaven Blvd....I used to bomb that on this board going 45-48mph on avg.....FAST....so they should be rated for high RPMs too.....

DAMN, that's fast and it's a big hill too. I live about 10 minutes from there, by car. I'm close to the Queens Mall.

i never checked thd avid racing concepts site. after browsing the site i now have a place to get some new bearings. i have been searching for a place that sells Abec 3-5 rated bearings. Boca bearing are too costly and are only abec-1. i need the smoothest drive train possible because i now race a T1FK-05.
