Could someone please explain the main benefit of these emulsion type shock caps? Just ordered some m2c pistons to rebuild shocks on my sledge for better performance, and considering new aluminum shock caps

In my experience they are a little easier to build and maintain. But I'm always rebuilding my slash bladder shocks for oval racing so it's pretty quick and easy for me.

Just curious what the bleeder screw main purpose is. Think I'll just stick with normal shock caps and pick up some traxxas blue aluminum to match

It's just as it's named,.it's to bleed out excess oil and remove rebound from the damper.

This is tekno instructions but applies to basically every bleeder shock I've seen.

Speaking of Tekno, and while going through my ET48 2.0 manual... first time I've seen this:

Interesting for sure. I guess if a person wants to go to emulsion style, they would just need o-ring in place of bladder.

I saw that page too on the SCT build after assembling them. Same process I did on my Ryft shocks.

Purpose was to make the next best thing as compared to sliced bread, and the wheel. The person who came up with shock bleeder caps idea 🤯🥳🕺☄️💥:thumbs-up::cool: was a genius IMHO! I think I literally danced on the ceiling the first time I built shocks with bleeder caps. They make it so easy to get shocks at the same rebound setting... 0 rebound for me 99% of the time.

Does anyone know who came up with the idea?

That's cool, I don't usually have any rebound but i know a lot of guys like it for oval
