Thats cool. There are many socialists and commies who think his wealth is obscene and should be confiscated by the irs, but they are ignorant of a simple fact: most of his wealth is 'paper wealth', meaning it is from the value of his stock. To confiscsate his wealth, you would have to sell his stock. If he sold just 5% of his stock, the value would plunge and his wealth would evaporate. So commies and socialists blast off, eh.

He has given approximately 27 billion to date. I remember reading that his father handles the philanthropic duties of the foundation as co-chair. It must be nice to be so wealthy you can hire your dad to give your money away. What a success story he is and it was earned the old fahoined way.

And.....he has no college degree. He dropped out to develope his computer program. He did finish 3 years at Harvard, so he was no dummy to begin with.

I live about 1 1/2 hours out off Seattle and he has done things in our communitty, with the school project. He is a big harted guy and a target because of all that money.

Yep, he starter here in NM in his freaking garage, if he would have kept Microsoft here it would have been awesome for the poor NM economy.

SCottM - Well said bro. I've always known that Bill and his wife donated tons of money for GREAT causes. He's working with various orginizations and powerfull players right now in Africa for the Aids/Hiv epidemic their(1in2women in Africa has HIV and most don't know it...it's phucking crazy). He's doing great things with his money that almost keeps me from complaining about MicroSoft products..lol.
