hows things going? been insanely busy this way.
i tripped over my big rock this morning and decided its time to fix it. before i bite the bullet i wanted to ask youse guys a few questions.
i keep throwing driveshafts. like 4 so far. apparently I'm rough on my rcs??? i dunno lol
i was gonna just order another set of factory replacements, then got to thinking about the stampede. i replaced those DS with steel tekno shafts and i havent lost one since.
makes me think id have the same results with the big rock.
i hopped over onto the arrma forun and browsed a few posts. they seem to say that the landings will be harder on the steel shafts than the composite set?

@Lostinthewoods86 I'm looking for your input as youve helped me repair this bad boy a time or 2, have you had similar issues? do you have a recomendation?

its almost always the front that gets lost, i was considering just replacing them with the steel but if thats just going to cause me even more problems, id rather just swap em out as they fly away.
i know the steel will transfer the potential breakage onto other places. but nothing breaks. other than the coupler. the shaft is still attatched to the truck at the diff, its just the part attatched to the wheel that gets gone each time i run it. me backflipping off the tree is the root cause of the losing of the shafts. but I'm gonna be honest I'm not gonna stop doing that. I'm not wired for just driving on flat terrain.

any help would be awesome

When I had the 3S Arrma models, I bent several shock shafts, but didn't lose a drive shaft.

Curious, with full droop of the A-Arm, is there still plenty of overlap between the two pieces of drive shaft?

I can't remember but if the A-Arm has multiple mounting points, have you tried changing the shock location to limit the travel just a bit?

What 9x19 said sounds like your issue. Let the arms free hang and see if the axles are close to separating or if they bind. You may need to limit the amount of droop. Either with screws in the arms or shock modifications.

The slider shafts pull out from one another?
Nah I usually would have them just snap off at the wheel and fly free I'll see if I can find a pic after work
Its generally been caused by reckless behavior
