OK, I am running an O.S. .15 CV-RX(S) and the one way bearing keeps slipping. I have bought new one and after 2 runs it does the same thing. Everytime I want to run it, I have to pull off the pull start and take off the one way bearing and let it sit in alcohol for a little while. It works prefect after i put it all together and lets say it runs out of gas, I try to start it and it slips. Should I try sealin the pull start or something, I don't know. PLease Help

I had the same problem with the Mach .26 in my LST. I switched fuel and the problem went away.

I have the same problem on the first start of the day.

What I do is, take of the fuel filter and pour a god amount of fuel down the carb throat while holding it open. Then turn the engine over gently till it hydrolocks. Then loosen glowplug and turn over engine again, to clear out excess fuel, retighten glowplug and you're ready to go.

I'm not sure, but I do have that mill and I'm thinking the portion of the crankshaft that the one-way sits on may be the culprit. You may want to try polishing that end up. What I've done is take some Brasso or Mothers metal polish and rub it on there pretty good. I then take my Dremel with one of the buffing heads and polish it up. Put my one-way back on, a few drops of bearing or after-run oil and I'm good to go!

I had this portion the the crankshaft get worn down by a bad oneway, the needle bearings actualy made a grove in the crankshaft and had to be replaced, because the next bearing hardly lasted a day. This was on a trx 2.5r.

you may have a exaust leak, the seal at the header may have a rip, this lets oil from the exaust out right above the pull start which soaks the pull start with oil and soaks the one way, which makes it not grab. try replacing the header gasket.

Actually, the 15 is a side exhaust. Those have the header bolted kitty corner to the exhaust, so there shouldn't be any oil run off.

I've had a couple and never had problems with the one ways. After 7 gallons, I ended up using the one-way in my OS 21 RG because it crapped out.

What fuel are you running? Do you run really rich? When I had it, I ran trinity MHP 20% and it ran around 220-240 for temps all day long.

I'd take the one-way out and let it soak in carb cleaner for 10-15 minutes then spin it on a paper towel. Then I'd put a drop of 3-in-1 oil on it and put it back together. I'd do this process about once, maybe twice throughout a gallon of fuel.

I'm running O'Donnel 20% and I've soaked it in every type of cleaner and it still doesn't work. I'm going to try monkey wrenches idea. if that doesn't work then I'm just going to sell it and get the .18TM or something like that. Or maybe buy a Savage, I hear lots of good things about them, so....

The only time I have problem with OWB slipping is on a OS RG. It was a new bearing too. What I did is clean the shaft and polish it. Make sure you relube the OWB before you put it back in. 3in1 oil works great.
