What up guys I'm looking to get some new wheels and tires for my lst xxl and was wondering if I should go with the big joes 40 series or the newer big joe 2. I know the 40 series use two piece rims that you don't glue. So basically whats better the glue type bead or the forty series. Thanks Guys Joe

Not all 40 series are bead-lock wheels, many use glue. The Big Joes look great but(I've heard) they are a heavy tire, extra weight will lead to more damage in crashes. What are you looking to do with the truck? What kind of terrain will you be running on? Is your truck stock?

Mostly bashing and they are for my lst xxl and yes it is stock.

Just so everyone knows the big joe 2 is lighter than the previous big joe

I've always used the glue style and have never tried the beadlok type so I guess what I'm really looking for is your opinions one the beadlok style wheels. Do they hold up as good as the glue type?

There heavy,
Pros....you can change tires easy
Cons...there heavy
Strip the screw holes out and your screwed

It'll also depend on the wheels, I've heard of some bead lock wheels losing tires. If the screws holding the rings on are spaced too far apart, they may flex and let the tire bead come loose.

I use Maximizer Beadlocks on my BB Revo. They're not much heavier than stock and there is the advantage of not gluing.

I think those and maybe the Prolines are the only good ones, I've heard a couple stories about the Axials losing tires though.
