Holy hell. I wanna know the temps on that motor as well. Actually here’s something if you didn’t know (not saying you don’t)

I recommend taking that motor apart and looking at the shaft/stator. If it’s Kevlar wrapped, that motor can definitely take 8s. If not, that’s probably why it’s only rated at 6s. Being a huge motor at 1200kv I wondered why it couldn’t take 8 but we could have our answer.

It's 700kv and definitely rated for 8s. There are guys running a 24t pinion in it.

Yup my bad! I thought it had the same motor as the super Baja Rey. That’s what I was referring to.

Anyways that’s crazy. Low low kv for the rock Rey huh!

The truck is a beast. It just shreds. I changed the center diff fluid from 50k to 100k. Front and rear are still the stock 30k.

Here are the upper and lower track mounts.

How’s the torque twist? None, enough to be badass, or too much? (That’s how I classify about everything in this hobby, it’s one of those 3)

Ah, always shocked me how the super wasn’t locked. When I see solid axle, I think locked. All the time.

I had assumed it was. I heard that they wanted to but they kept breaking the pins inside the diff. So they just scrapped it. I'm kind of glad they did. I like the open rear.

Yup that sounds like a good decision by them. Isn’t it nice when an rc manufacturer tests their truck, realizes something is wrong, and then changes it so it’s right? Like exactly what Traxxas didn’t do with their e revo 1.0?

My new steering rack/servo saver came in today. Two companies make them at the moment: Hot Racing and GPM. The Hot Racing ones are completely sold out, so as much as it pained me I bought the GPM unit. When I went to install it I was surprised to find that the stock plastic one was broken! I didn't even realize it. I knew it was a weak point, which is why I got the metal piece.

Some insane bashing of the Super Rock Rey (and other RC's). SRR walks away, even after driving through the ramp, lol! Poor Xmaxx didn't fare so well :( #bustedTraxxas
